Anya Teuton - Young Rider

County Down teenager, Anya Teuton rides Lisrua Star (Honey), her nine year old Connemara mare in Ridden and Working Hunter classes in Ireland. She informed us that “Honey had never won a class, let alone a Championship sash”, before she started feeding her Thunderbrook feed.

During 2018 and 2019, the pair have amassed an impressive 15 Championships, along with many wins and credible placings at Royal, County and Breed Championship level. Anya has produced Honey carefully, with patience and consideration that native ponies take time to mature and gain confidence. With help and advice from Thunderbrook, Anya also successfully made the transition to barefoot with Honey in the Autumn of 2018. Her coat, movement and performance have consistently improved with superior nutrition, which has been clearly reflective in her results.

When not competing, Anya and Honey spend much of their time enjoying beach and forest rides, swimming and hacking. They are keen members of the East Down Pony Club, attending as many training rallies as they can fit in, around their competitive schedule.

This year, Dublin Horse Show will close the show season for the pair, who will contest the Under 16 Ridden Connemara and 143cm WHP, in their first time riding at this special venue. The highlight of the Irish show calendar, Anya has grown up visiting the show each year, to watch and help her mum. This year, they will swop roles and Victoria will take on the supporting role, while her daughter enjoys the spotlight

Avery Maude - Dressage Rider

Avery Maude and is a 17 year old Dressage rider based in Kent. She is a FEI junior rider and has been representing team GB at this level for 2 years.
In 2019 she was selected for Keysoe CDI, Sint Truiden CDI and Hickstead CDI. She also qualified for both regional championships and the winter national championships.
Avery is aiming to continue competing in juniors for another year and her dream is to earn her living producing young horses and ponies.
‘I have been feeding Thunderbrook ever since I can remember and have always had incredible results whenever I have put horses onto it. I absolutely love seeing the difference in horses once they have been on Base Mix and I am always complimented on how healthy and shiny my horses coats look.’

Victoria Teuton - Coach and Rider

Victoria Teuton is an Equestrian Performance Coach, based in Co. Down, Northern Ireland. She has coached riders to win at Horse Of the Year Show, Royal Dublin Show, Clifden, Balmoral and National Breed & Performance Awards. She takes a fresh, positive approach to coaching and believes that confidence and a healthy mindset are key to growth and success. She recommends Thunderbrook to all of her clients, across all disciplines.

Her focus towards nutrition and it’s effects on performance sparked after a typically lively conversation with Irish Thunderbrook distributor, Nathan Nash. Convinced by Nash to change the feed plans of 18 horses in her care, Victoria now credits much of her success to the harmony created by a more natural nutritional approach, in Thunderbrook Equestrian. As both a rider and coach, the advice she has received from Thunderbrook founder, Dr. Deborah Carley, has been “an absolute game changer”, helping her to win Reserve Champion Performance Irish Draught at Royal Balmoral in 2019; Champion & Reserve Champion Performance Irish Draught at Balmoral in 2018; Reserve Champion Performance Irish Draught at Dublin in 2017; & Champion Working Hunter at Balmoral in 2016.

Specialising in native and traditional breeds, Victoria has been guest speaker at National Breed Awards and Roadshows. She openly discusses her belief that nutrition plays a major role in both success and soundness, joking that she needs to find the human alternative as soon as possible.

Out of working hours, Victoria enjoys time with her young family, sea swimming with the horses regularly and travelling throughout Ireland sourcing young horses. Having lived in Galway for almost a decade, she often returns to the county, to ride cross country, shop for horses and visit friends.
